Approximately 50 active members call LSFD home, along with many more inactive life members.

We provide mutual aid to Hurleyville Fire Dept, Fallsburg Fire Dept, Liberty Fire Dept, Neversink Fire Dept, Woodbourne Fire Dept and Woodridge Fire Dept. We run approximately 150 calls per year.

Founded in 1922 the Loch Sheldrake Fire Dept continues to provide the best possible protection to the residents of Loch Sheldrake and surrounding communities. As our population doubles from June to September, we work extra hard to keep our community safe, with weekly drills every Wednesday night.

The Loch Sheldrake Fire Department is a unique family comprised of amazing individual I proudly call brothers. Formed from the deep traditions of a small community we work hard to keep the family values within the fire house family. We are always looking to add to our family.
